Our Story

Hi, we are Hyekyong and Jordi.
We have been travelling the world together since 2012 and were married in Korea in 2014. We left our day jobs in 2017 to pursue a life of travel around the world.
Started with a blog to share our travel experiences, recommendations, and to inspire others to travel more and soon graduated to a Youtube channel.
We have been to 18+ countries together and we believe in slow, immersive travel. Our way is to stay longer at our destinations to know them intimately, to truly experience the culture, food, history and local traditions.
Our YouTube channel helps us express our love of story telling from all around the world, in a visual format. Our content is entertaining, informative and immersive in nature.

How we met

We met on October 2010 in Yongin, South Korea. Jordi was an exchange student in Seoul and he was visiting the second campus of the university where he was studying. So, we met for first time surrounded by nature and a lake on a beautiful university campus. Hyekyong was so surprised that a foreigner could speak some Korean. After introducing each other and talk for a short time, that was it. I had to leave.

A few months later, we were still in touch through Facebook, and we chatted every now and then. Almost one year later, on summer 2011, we met in person for the second time. And we talked and talked. We met a few more times and shared some beers, starry nights on Jordi’s terrace and listened to Michael Jackson. We became very good friends and hung out for watching movies, having picnics, going to amusement parks, strolling around the city, meeting friends, listening to music, going to concerts, talking about anything…

On November of that same year we took our first trip as a couple. We visited Hakone and Tokyo for our first of so many trips to Japan. Since then, we realized that traveling together was the best thing we did so far. And without saying it out loud, we probably decided that we wanted to keep traveling together as much as possible.

Our dream

After getting married we started thinking about our future. About how could we keep traveling. And we realized that one of our dreams was to travel indefinitely around the world. We started saving money and decided to quit jobs after a few years and start this dream. After a few delays and more work than we expected, here we are. We wanted to keep in touch with our family and friends and maybe make more friends and community so we started this website. We thought it will be a good way of keeping the memories of our trips and probably gather some travel info for other people.

Our Vision

We think that life is too short to be always in the same place. For us, travelling is a way to live and experience more than one life. That’s why we try to stay long time in places rather than rushing sightseeing the tourist spots. We like to see, learn and participate in the local life. In a world in which we can be more connected than ever thanks to technology, but in a way still so divided, we all can learn things from each other and approach other cultures with curiosity and embracing new ways of living.
With this website, and with our videos, we can show the people from every corner of the planet how amazing this world is, from our own eyes from a regular couple.
